Compaq 510 Windows 7 Driver

 This model similarly with Compaq 610 they use similar devices, to make it easy i separate both model and post the drivers separately.

 Generally there will be no problems to install all the drivers needed, onr thing that may be the problems is the CHIPSET driver,  officially there are no chipset driver release for this model, in case you need the driver you can request it the comment section below. To check weather you need the chipset driver you can simply ope 'device manager' adn you will see a device name 'smbus controller' mark with yellow ! mark.

Installing the driver above will resulting in error, so we will nee to install it manually, not that i strongly recomend you uys to choose sp45100.exe to install the audio.


manual Installation For audio:

This is force method if you fail to install any audio i recommended above:
1. Download and Unzip/Extract the driver, example Sp45100.exe:
- right click on it and select EXTRACT FILE (you need to have winrar installed on your computer)
- Or you can directly install it, it will result in error but ignore it, because the installation will extract the driver file located at C:\SWsetup\SP41500

2. Open  Device Manager by click start and select run, type DEVMGMT.MSC and press enter.

3. right click "Audio Device on HD",choose Update driver,

4. No to connect, Install from a list or specific location,
5. Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,
6. For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'
7. Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the inf file. (the ind\f file varies base on the driver you choose, normally it is sthda.inf.
8. Ignore XP when it complains, Reboot.

NOTES FROM SLAK:

1. BATTERY
Battery cannot be recognize under XP, this is an unresolved issue, you also need to disable "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" from Device Manager or else your CPU will keep a 20 - 25% loading at all time. No XP Quickset driver for any HM55/57 chipset laptop from Dell. Only AHCI driver needed slipstream, others can install after the OS installation.

Need to mention here is this N4010 model comes with different graphics:

1) ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
2) ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
3) ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v
4) Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD
