HP Pavilion tx1320us Windows 7 Driver

Here is my initial suggestion windows 7 driver for this model, so your feedback are really important to help me get the appropriate drivers.

CHIPSET:
(I'm not sure if this needed but i believe it use nvidia chipset)

If failed
Try your windows Vista drivers:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38221.exe

Install it and if failed ignore it. We just want to extract the driver.
Open device manager (click start and type DEVMGMT.MSC on the search box and press enter)
Under Graphic Adapter it will show Standard VGA - right click and select UPDATE DRIVER - Select BROWSE MY COMPUTER FOR DRIVER SOFTWARE - Then click BROWSE and point to C:\SWsetup\SP38221 and select the inf file - continue with on screen instruction and reboot).

AUDIO:
This model uses Realtek Audio devices so normally the driver installed along windows installation. If there are no sound and you need the driver you can download the driver here:

You can also try using the original Vista driver and install it using device manager similarly with Graphic installation:

WIRELESS:
Normally it also installed along windows installation. There are 3 applicable wireless drivers for this model so there are quite a lot to cover. I will not discuss about it here unless someone need help on this one.

LAN:
Nvidia Chipset Network Driver
Normally after installing the chipset driver, it will automatically install LAN driver, however if you need it:

This also the vista driver and install it using device manager.

BLUETOOTH:
Support Software for HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology

- right click on the driver and select PROPERTIES
-Select COMPATIBILITY
-select "run this program in compatibility mode for" select windows Vista.
-Right click again on the bluetooth driver and select run as administrator.
-continue with on screen instruction.

WEBCAM:
HP Webcam Driver Software

The method to install webcam is similar to Bluetooth:
- right click on the driver and select PROPERTIES
-Select COMPATIBILITY
-select "run this program in compatibility mode for" select windows Vista.
-Right click again on the bluetooth driver and select run as administrator.
-continue with on screen instruction.

After installation you'll get the webcam application shortcut (normally by START -PROGRAMS - HP WEBCAM) . if there are problem to run the webcam software or the picture quality are low, right click on the shortcut and change the compatibility to windows vista.

CRAD READER:
I dont find any information regarding the card reader. If you need this driver (if you believe this model have it) get me the hardware ID for the devices. Normally HP and COMPAQ model only use Texas or Ricoh card reader. Very rare use realtek card reader.

A : INTRO:
Remember that LOG ON to your computer as ADMINISTRATOR. This is because i've been told that the first time a user logs on, the Intel software must attempt to establish what the locale of the system is, and then create an appropriate driver file in system32 for that language. The file to look for is IGFXRES.DLL
When a non administrator is logged in, the system does not create the DLL file. So to be more safe, to reinstall the driver log in as administrator and right click on the driver and select run as administrator.

B : CASE 1: General solution for  "Can't find requested string" INTEL graphic.
This problem commonly happen with computer that use INTEL GRAPHIC.
Intel said in thier website that this happen when:

• This message can be seen when installing a newer version of the Intel® graphics driver (PV14.13 or later).
• This error displays in the Intel graphics driver system tray menu (see Figure 1) and the Windows* Control Panel icon.

So INTEL themself has done a great job to solve the problems and this is a repost from INTEL website, to read the original post by intel you can refer to this url:

SOLUTION:

 Error displayed in Intel® Graphics driver Control Panel icon

Solution:

To work-around this issue, follow the steps listed below:
Note For Intel® 915G, 915GM/GMS, 910GL, 910GML, 945G, 945GM/GMS, and 940GML chipset-based products, this issue is resolved in graphics driver version PV14.24 and later. For the latest driver, run the Intel® Driver Update Utility.

Uninstall the Intel® Graphics driver using the following steps:

Open Windows* Control Panel by clicking Start » Settings » Control Panel or clicking Start » Control Panel.
Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
Select and remove the Intel® Extreme Graphics driver or Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator driver.
Follow the prompts to reboot the computer.
After reboot, Windows detects a new device (the graphics controller) and searches for the driver. Select Cancel in the Found New Hardware Wizard windows. The driver is installed in a later step.

Change the Windows* Regional and Language Options settings by following these steps:

Open Windows Control Panel.
Double-click Regional and Language Options

On the Regional Options tab, and note the currently selected language.
Change the language as follows:
If English (United Kingdom) is currently selected, choose a different English language listed.
If French (Canada) is currently selected, choose a different French language listed.

Click Advanced and note the currently selected language.
Change the language as follows:
If English (United Kingdom) is currently selected, choose a different English language listed.

Click OK to accept these changes.
Click Yes when prompted to skip file copying and use existing files.
Click Yes to restart the computer.
After reboot, install the latest Intel® graphics driver using the Intel® Driver Utility Graphics tool.
After reboot, change the Regional and Language Options back to the original language settings noted in Steps 2c and 2e.

So Compaq NC6220 use Intel 915GM Graphics  and this step may solve the problem.

C : CASE 2 : "Can't find requested string" happen after using windows Update.
Normally when we installed updates and after that i cause problems, we just need to remove the updates in control panel.
-start - all program - control panel - add/remove program(xp)/uninstall programs(win 7)
-select show updates/view installed updates and remove the necessary updates. (the updates which after installed, it cause the error)
-after that reboot, and if the error still there, try to reintsall the driver and reboot (remember to log again as admin)

D : CASE 3: "Can't find requested string" after installing newer driver's version.

There are to way to solve this.

First is my favourite is by using SYSTEM RESTORE. To do this:


I - win XP
a) click start - all programs - accessories - system tools -system restore
b) Select "restore my computer ...." and select the date before the error happen.
c) wait it finish and it will reboot if it goes well your problems solved.

II - Win 7
a) Click start and on the search box type SYSTEM RESTORE - select the top result.
b) it will take few secs for system restore to open. Select next and select SHOW MORE REStORE POINT.
c) Select the date before you install the new graphic and wait till it finish. it will reboot if it goes well your problems will be solved.

UNISTALL and REINSTALL DRIVER

1. Unistall current driver - reboot - install original/ older version of the driver.
I -to uninstall the current graphic driver you can go to control panel and remove it,
II- you can also go to device manager (win xp - click star and select run -type DEVMGMT.MSC and press enter) (win 7 - click start and on search box type DEVICE MANAGER and select the top result).
expand the display adapter - on the graphic select UNISTALL - reboot

I strongly recommend use device manager to unistall the driver unless it does not appear in device manager so use method II.

Then reinstall the original/older version of the graphic driver.

Well the be honest this problems never happen to me but i suggest the solution base on my experience. For those who try this method and have something to share, please post it in the comments section below and i hope this post can start a good discussion regarding the problems.

HP Pavilion dm1 Windows 7 Drivers

 Hp Pavilion dm1 series is one of the model in Hp Pavilion Notebook Pc and in united states Hp site there are total of 3 dm series which refer to dm1, dm3 and dm4. Across dm1 series (there are lots of them such as dm1-3200cto etc) they are differ in drivers, either Intel base model or AMD base model.
The difference is INTEl base driver use intel Chipset and Intel Graphic while AMD base model doesn't have chipset driver and use ATI driver.

If you laptop use Intel processor it is intel base model and vice versa. Simply click start and type DXDIAG in the search box and click ENTER. Clik OK if prompted, there you can see the processor type.

For your information, dm1 have 3 applicable drivers.  So, how to know which to download? there are 3 drivers available, you can identify the drivers by using hardware ID but i recommend use the classic way, test which work for you. Installing wrong driver will not harm you system.
IMPORTANT: Normally windows 7 automatically installed wireless drivers, so if your wifi working fine, no need to install these drivers.

Windows 7 automatically installed your webcam driver because most of the webcam only need generic usb driver which already installed along with windows 7 installation. To use the webcam you can install this utility. I'm not sure if this package contains newer drivers.

Compaq Presario CQ43-418TU Windows XP Driver

This model belong to Compaq presario CQ43-400 series notebook, and there are only 7 model available for this series. There are no Windows XP driver list in the official website, but there are drivers that i found compatible with the model and the driver is from HP themself, neither from third party nor others sources.

Form the HP released specifcation, this model have HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1366 x 768 maximum native resolution). Hp recomend windows 7 for this model and by using windows XP and the drivers here is at your own risk.

Important thing to note that, I only provide the Atheros wireless driver, but there are released that use ralink or relatek wireless, and for that, i need your help to inform me the hardware ID for your wireless if the wireless driver provided didn't work.

A request made by a user for this model. Since the there are few support site and information i can gather for this model. There are no official driver from the manufacture. So i just can give the driver from the Component manufacture.

4. Select any driver version available, normally the newer version (base on the date) is better.

IMPORTANT:
I cannot find any specification for this notebook. So i don't know if the following driver needed, wireless, bluetooth, webcam and touchpad. So you guys can help me on this by downloading EVEREST software, install it, run everest and send the report to me at kyoajis@gmail.com so i can i can identify the hardware on this machine.

My recomendation:
Base on the hardware, the best OS is windows XP, don't use vista and windows 7 is optional (you may have problem where you can't enable aero feature)

NOTE :If this model only available for non-windows OS, it is your responsibility if the use of the driver i provided is against your manufacture TOS.

HP Pavilion DV6500 Windows 7 Driver

After installing Windows 7, most of the drivers installed automatically but not all. You need to install the following driver to have all the drivers installed on your system. Below is the drivers you need to install :

Installation:
right click on the SP37726 and select run as admin.
 If you are a advance user i recommend to install using device manager.

Install the driver by double click on the SP47275.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

1. Some of the driver above is the original Vista driver form HP, but you can install them on windows 7 system by run it as admin.

 2. If direct installation failed, change the driver comaptibilities by:
- Right click on the driver file and select PROPERTIES.
-select COMPATIBILITY.
-Tick the box "run this program in compatibility mode for" Select WINDOWS VISTA.
-The APPLY and closed. Right click and select Run As Admin.

3. If  didn't work, you will have the driver folder on this location : C:\SWSetup. So next:
-Open device manager by click start and type DEVICE MANAGER and press enter.
-Device manager will open and look at the OTHER DEVICE. you will see system base device (RICOH) , co processor, Usb device (FINGERPRINT)  and Unknown device(HP QUICKLAUNCH) mark with Yellow !.\
 -Right click on them and select UPDATE DRIVER. select Browse my computer for driver software and select BROWSE. Point to C:\SWSetup\SPXXXX (related driver folder).
